Located in the heart of the “Marine Big 5” town of Gansbaai

Located in the heart of Gansbaai, only 2 hours from Cape Town International Airport, the Tourist Lodge provides a relaxed atmosphere for the perfect break away!

Gansbaai is the ideal place for whale watching and shark cage diving.

We offer well-appointed, self-catering cottages with patios, a garden and barbecue facilities.

Each spacious cottage features a country-style décor and comes with a separate seating with a sofa and dining area. A microwave, fridge, crockery, cutlery and an electric kettle are included in the kitchen.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, as well as free private parking is possible on-site.
Tourist Lodge Gansbaai is 400 meters from the Gansbaai harbour, and in easy walking distance from shops, restaurants, the ocean, pubs and activities.

Golf, Squash and Tennis

The Southernmost Golf Course In Africa.

Gansbaai golf opportunities are also renowned, especially for offering a rich experience in natural splendour and scenic beauty. Nestled between blankets of indigenous fynbos and the ocean, courses here provide stunning sea views from most of the fairways and a varying degree of difficulty for all handicaps.

You’ll also find that there is an abundance of animal and bird life to experience while making your way toward the renowned “19th hole” in Gansbaai. The local clubhouse is where you’ll find the restaurant and refreshments as well as secure onsite parking. However, on the greens is where you’ll meet some of the more endangered locals, including kiewiets, anguilla tortoises and the Cape grysbokkie.

There are also a number of other facilities available at the local golf course in this region. This includes squash and tennis courts for those who prefer others sports, besides testing their swings on the golf course.

Whale Watching

Whether one watches them from any of the many vantage points along the rocky shores, or from one of the many Whale Watching boats, these magnificent creatures regularly come to within a few metres of their spectators.

At night, their unmistakable blowing and grunting can be heard up to 2 km away.
